Backed by exciting BRute racing, Queensland's Ipswich Ute Muster has become one of the country's most prominent. Standouts among this year's 350 entries were David and Libby Elsley's potent Ford Falcon XR8 Pursuit 250 'super ute' and Luke Pascoe's rejuvenated 1932 International C-CAB.
David Elsley, president of the Australian Champion XR6 and XR8 Club of Queensland, says his family has been in Ford retailing for 50 years, and in May 1999 he formed the club that was to cater for the modern form of high-performance vehicles from Ford from the early 1990s to today. His blue print, silver basecoat ute 'CYA' (as in "See you later") is still in the birthing process but is already considered the best Ford ute currently on the road.

Aiden Quig's 2001 Holden Commodore VU, Best Ford to Rudolf Trifunovich's
2000 Ford Falcon XR8 and Best Holden to John Duffy's 1960 FB Holden. Trifunovich
also took out Best Paintwork. Shannon Schneider's 1969 HK Holden won Most
Feral and Michael Draheim was rapt with Best Engine Bay for his 1974 HQ Holden.
