Terms and Conditions

  1. Chance plays no part in deciding the winner. Each entry is judged on its merits. The judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  2. Information on how to enter and prizes form part of these terms and conditions.
  3. Entry is open only to residents of Australia. Employees and their immediate families of the Promoter (Outback Publishing), its associated companies and agencies are ineligible to enter.
  4. Only one entry per person is allowed and no responsibility will be taken for lost or misdirected mail. Any entry not complying with these terms and conditions is invalid.
  5. The promotion commences on 28/5/2004 and closes last mail received on 10/10/04.
  6. To enter - send a good quality photograph of your dog and 100 words or less describing - why your dog should win the OUTBACK BONNIE Working Dog of the Year Competition. Entries should be posted to OUTBACK BONNIE Working Dog of the Year Competition, PO Box 1078, Neutral Bay NSW 2089.
  7. 13 winners will be chosen with the dog winning first prize appearing on the cover of the 2005 Bonnie Working Dog Calendar. The other 12 winning dogs will appear throughout the calendar.
  8. Prizes: First prize: $1,000 RM Williams gift voucher and 100kg BONNIE Working Dog Formula valued at $175 recommended retail price (“RRP”). The winning dog will be featured on the cover of the 2005 BONNIE Working Dog Calendar. Total prize value $1175. Second prize: 1 x pair of RM Williams Turnout Boots valued at $329.95 RRP, RM Williams OUTBACK solid hide leather belt valued at $56.95 RRP, RM Williams Longhorn logo cap valued at $39.95 RRP, 2 year OUTBACK magazine subscription valued at $85 RRP and 40kg of BONNIE Working Dog Formula valued at $70 RRP. Total prize value $581.85. Third prize: RM Williams OUTBACK solid hide leather belt valued at $56.95 RRP, RM Williams Longhorn logo cap valued at $39.95 RRP, 2 year OUTBACK magazine subscription valued at $85 RRP and 40kg of BONNIE Working Dog Formula valued at $70 RRP. Total prize value $251.90. Fourth to Thirteenth Prize: 1 year subscription to OUTBACK magazine valued at $45 RRP and 20kg Bonnie Working Dog Formula valued at $35 RRP – total value of each prize $80.
  9. By entering the competition, each entrant agrees to the use of their dog’s image, likeness and photograph for printing, broadcast, publicity and promotional purposes, including but not limited to use in the BONNIE 2005 Working Dog of the Year Calendar, in OUTBACK magazine and on the website of the Nestle Purina Petcare (www.purina.com.au) and OUTBACK magazine (www.outbackmag.com.au) without compensation, and agrees that the Promoter will own all intellectual property rights, including copyright in any such material. It is a condition of accepting a prize that the winner acknowledges that the Promoter acquires the winning images for use for its commercial purposes and agrees not to object to any such use on the basis of any moral right.
  10. Winners will be published in the December/January 2005 issue of OUTBACK (on sale November 24, 2004) and notified by mail. Prizes will be dispatched within 30 days of the winners being announced. Prizes will only be delivered within Australia.
  11. All photographs and entries become the property of the Promoter and will not be returned.
  12. All personal information provided by entrants will be held in accordance with the Privacy Act will be used by Promoter – only for the purpose of conducting this competition and providing the prizes.
